STRING ARRANGEMENT The 8 strings can be tuned uniformly in 4ths from the very low bass B: 1st, Bb (0.011"); 2nd, F (0.013"); 3rd, C (0.020"); 4th, G (0.030"); 5th, D (0.044); 6th, A (0.065"); 7th, E (0.092"); 8th, B (0.128"), or tuned with a guitar relationship at the high end with the major 3rd interval between the 2nd and 3rd strings: 1st, A (0.011"); 2nd, E (0.013"); 3rd, C (0.020"); 4th, G (0.030"); 5th, D (0.044); 6th, A (0.065"); 7th, E (0.092"); 8th, B (0.128").
